Co-creator or servant – The Two Roles of Parenting
|In intuitive reading sessions with clients, I often see we have two types of relationships in our lives- co-creator or servant.
This helps explain why some relationships feel like so much friggin work and why others just flow effortlessly. When we have finished the karmic lessons with someone, we are able to be in a co-creating dynamic of CHOICE. Yes, we are able to more freely choose what we learn and how we learn it, with these people. Each person is able to stay grounded in himself or herself during the relationship. In other words, it’s interdependent, not dependent or independent. You enjoy each other and rely on each other but you aren’t wrapped up so much in a karmic bind.
My goal in my work is to help people move into being a co-creator with their relationships. For moms, it is about co-creating your family with your partner and kids. It’s about stepping out of the role of servant to a karmic lesson. When the lessons are complete, we have freedom to create the relationship instead of it creating us.
When you feel you are in a role of servant with your partner or child, ask yourself what lesson you are working with each other. The lessons are generally- the one on the left is what we are learning and on the right is what we are feeling: patience/frustration, compassion/anger, forgiveness/betrayal, selflessness/ego, confidence/insecure, interdependency/separateness, self worth/worthlessness, peace/fear.
When you learn the lesson, another may show up though we usually have only a few major lessons with someone, so often you feel freedom once you’ve learned the lesson. For me, once I learned the lesson to overcome fear, I had much more peace with my son.
This is true for all relationships in your life. When you feel stuck in a karmic lesson with someone, just ask what lesson is keeping you a servant. Once you learn the lesson, you will be able to co-create in freedom.
